Born in Kandy, Sri Lanka, Chef Chaminda trained at the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management before building a 20+ year career in luxury kitchens across Sri Lanka, Dubai, and Canada.

Now based in Regina, Canada, he leads iDine Indian Cuisine and founded Culinary Safari, an initiative showcasing Sri Lanka’s rich food heritage through immersive dining and cultural experiences.

Recognised by the Sri Lankan High Commission in Ottawa, Chef Chaminda has proudly represented Sri Lankan cuisine at international and diplomatic events, earning his reputation as a global culinary innovator and cultural ambassador.
